![]() The other kind of door asked you to solve a high-low number puzzle, the kind where you guess a number, and the game tells if you if it’s the right number, too high, or too low. It asked us to count the number of doors in the school, but not only didn’t it specify if a double-door counts as one or two (it’s “one”), it overlooked other rooms that you hadn’t been able to search during the dungeon but had seen during the plot, and ignored the fact that Lan and Mega Man clearly skip other floors of the school while using the stairs! One of these “hints” was pretty bad, though. For example, one asked us to count the desks in a certain room. The first kind had password hints that we could research by switching to Lan and checking around in school. The dungeon was dotted with two-digit password locks, which, once unlocked, allowed access to the room for both MegaMan and Lan in the real world. If you don’t destroy this thing quickly (or if you touch it!), it will explode and land a virtually guaranteed hit, no matter where you are on the field (unless you’re protected by a gap in the floor, maybe?). With this attack, they would teleport into position and then place a time bomb from MM8. The most notable new addition was giant, flying hands – dubbed, sure enough, “Handy” – which would stand still and take your attacks before finally starting their belated attack. ![]() There weren’t many new enemies here, at least not if you’ve visited your friends’ computers the previous day. The school dungeon strongly resembles the actual school, way more than any other area in the game so far, with a few extra hallways added to make it a maze. Yai don’t even bother to help, adding even further to Glide’s already poor reputation. As she leaves, she heals you, an extremely solid card. Navi Chips like this pause the action while the Navi appears and does their thing: Roll.EXE attacks the nearest enemy from left to right (preferring the uppermost if there are multiple options), battering them with a weird halo thing that she has. I guess virus busting is his established “thing?” Before going in, Mayl offered us a new Battle Chip to summon her Navi, Roll.EXE, who’s based on Mega Man’s sister from the original games. ![]() At this point, everyone turned to Lan to save the day. Thankfully, their hypnotic message wasn’t very effective: none of the named characters were affected and the generic NPCs were only being influenced very slowly! Dex decided to jack in to the blackboard to fight the viruses, but quickly lost. Thus the increasing in student crimes recently: this isn’t the first school the WWW has hit! Wily announced that he and his organization were going to take over the world via a world they called “the EndGame,” and began to broadcast a hypnotic message to the children to become WWW’s slaves. Naturally, he wasn’t actually setting up math problems, but a virus, which took over the school’s ever-present computer screens and digital “blackboards” to begin broadcasting a message from the Albert Wily. He used his PET to set the class up with “math problems” while he stepped out of the room. Higsby tried to endear himself to the class by saying that he collects rare Battle Chips, but nothing seemed to get past his creepy nature.Īfter a time skip, Higsby taught the next class, saying that Ms. Higsby, who just so happens to be the clopping guy from the previous night. Mari not notice you missing from the front row of desks? MegaMan also announced a news report that “Student net crime is on the rise!” Lan somehow sneaks to his desk (again: at the front of class!), just in time to be introduced to a new teacher, Mr. Dude, she did you a solid! Why are you such a dick to your friends? Also, how did Ms. Lan was late to class the next day, and because he’s a jerk, he takes issue with Yai saying he owes her for calling his name during attendance.
